Small and neat restaurant with few tables. Furniture reminds anyone an authentic countryside resto. Ambiance is good. Ample parking.Service is good.Food is must try, quality is good for the price. Spice level was customized as per our needs

Absolutely delicious!!! The coconut fried rice and Tom Yum soup are to die for, very friendly and welcoming staff, and large portions. Everything is super fresh and they are very accommodating to food allergies as everything gluten free is labelled and most things can be made gluten free upon request. Would highly recommend.

Fresh, fabulous, best lunch in Greater Victoria. Two sampler plate offers for 2 ($39) or more persons is exceptional. We had the non-vegetarian special - spring rolls with pickled veggies, curry chicken, spicy beef, roasted veggies, rice. Individual combo plates also avail for lunch. Perfect, prompt service. Great mix of Malaysian, Thai & Chinese dishes on the menu. I will return!

So far the best meal Ive had all year! Food was so delicious, an exposion of taste in every bite. Service was friendly and prompt. This small cuisine of asian flavors had lots of menu choices. Pinapple fried rice is a must have! I highly recommend dine in or take out!

The BEST South East Asian cuisine in the town and the Pha Thai is my favorite. We had a very good dining experience in this little gem. I'm very pleased with the quality of food and the amazing services. The staff and the owner are very friendly and approachable.Many thanks for the delicious food and wonderful service, we can't wait to visit the Tropical Island restaurant again next week. ☺️.

In a word... Amazing!I brought my wife and son here for our fifth anniversary. They provide a cozy, inviting atmosphere that relaxes and inspires.We started out with the Roti Canai and Popcorn Chicken. Excellent starters for a fine meal.We then proceeded to indulge with the Gu Loo Pork, Seafood Teppan, and Mixed Mushroom Platter. Wonderful.The food and service were excellent. I will definitely be back and will let others know as well, which is easily done as I work in the hospitality industry.Thank you so much Tropical Island Restaurant for helping to make this a meaningful and memorable anniversary.

First time ordering takeout from this restaurant, and we loved it!The roti was incredible, though in my view for the price point it could be like 50% larger. The pad Thai was just wonderful, as was the fried flat rice noodles with basil sauce.We'll definitely be visiting again.

The Tropical Island Restaurant
This place deserves a lot more recognition. The cuisine here is South-East Asian, with some Malaysian dishes like Char Kway Teow. The food has always been good every time I've ordered from here. I mostly ordered takeout (pandemic), but the restaurant decor and ambience was very pleasant the one time I ate at the restaurant, with a tropical theme.Prices are a bit heavier compared to other places but you could argue the quality makes up for it. I've since moved away from Victoria but would definitely hit this place up if/when I come back.
